Does It Matter What Time Of Day I Drink My Coffee?
People consume coffee for all sorts of different reasons - some because they simply like the taste, some because they find it to be relaxing, and some because it is simply a great way to get together with friends - but regardless of the stated reason for one's coffee consumption, coffee drinking still comes down to "staying awake" for most people. Because people try to drink coffee in order to stay awake (or - even for those who do not drink coffee to stay awake - it still has this effect), it is useful to know when is the best time of day for drinking coffee. First off, a lot of people claim that "coffee has no effect" on them, and so they will drink it shortly before bed; if this is the case for you, however, you should realize that coffee still has an effect on your body, even if you are able to fall asleep after drinking it. Even though you might think that you are falling asleep and sleeping all night without any problems, chances are, the caffeine is preventing your body throughout the night from getting the rest that it truly needs. A lot of people also use coffee to "help them wake up" by drinking it first thing in the morning, but when you drink coffee first thing in the morning, you put your body in a position where it becomes unable to wake up fully without coffee, which handicaps you for the rest of the day. Drinking coffee in the middle of the day is actually the best way to drink it; even though this might leave you feeling more tired in the morning (that is, until your body gets used to this new routine), your body will be able to wake itself up. And with this midday cup of coffee, you will have a nice energy boost - something that will help to carry you through the afternoon, and that will wear off at night, just in time for you to go to sleep for the night!
