Lose Weight Faster By Drinking Healthier Beverages
Have you tried to lose weight, but just can't seem to do it? You can probably eliminate a good 100-250 calories from your diet just by changing what you drink. These simple beverage choice changes will help you lose weight. Give water a chance. If your tap water isn't yummy, use a Brita Filter to vastly improve the quality of taste. You may think all bottled waters, taste the same, but they don't, so experiment a little. Many people like water once they add a squeeze of lime or lemon juice or add slices of cucumber. Cut sweeteners out of your hot beverages such as coffee or tea. Sugar is one of the biggest enemies of weight loss, being empty calories that leave you craving more. Start out by reducing how much sweetener you allow yourself in each beverage. Because artificial sweeteners have recently been linked to weight loss problems (per medical studies), you will want to avoid these altogether. Focus on the end goal: enjoying your hot beverages without sweetener at all. There are several teas and coffees that are good without any sweetener at all. For example, try Good Earth Original Blend tea, which is sweet and spicy, as well as flavored coffees. You may find yourself prefering nonsweetened beverages after experimenting. Cut out soft drinks altogether. Every 12-ounce sugar soda you drink puts about 140 calories of sugar into your body. Diet sodas are not the solution, since recent studies have linked diet soda consumption with weight problems. Scientists speculate that this link between diet soda consumption and weight issues may be related to either metabolism issues or cravings. Replace soda with seltzer water instead. Reduce juice consumption. You may be fooled into thinking juice is a great way to get your servings of fruit and vegetables, but the truth is juices are high in calories and sugar. Even juice supplemented with artificial sweeteners is still high in calories, and you already know the artificial sweeteners are questionable in value. Limit juice consumption, treating it as you would a dessert. By changing what you drink, you can cut calories and increase your overall wellness.
