Good-For-You Habits That Will Extend Your Life
Mind is All
Do you want to live your healthiest life possible? Are you concerned about improving your quality of life? Want to live as long as possible? The following healthy habits will give you the best chance at living a long and healthy life. Take a daily walk. Walking is a great stress buster. Walking is great exercise; it works your heart and lungs without taxing you too much. Walking can improve your bone density, which is great for preventing osteoporosis. While walking, you'll burn calories and absorb vitamin D, both of which are great for longevity. Walking will help you stay positive, and it can can be done with a child or neighbor, too.
Stretch out those tense muscles. By lengthening your muscles, you'll increase flexibility. The more flexible you are, the better your balance wlll be, which in the end will protect you from injury. Stretching helps you release stress and feel better overall. Start drinking tea and water instead of other junk beverages. Replace all those high-calorie, artificial drinks with these two super-hydrators. Water flushes toxins from your body and hydrates. And tea is flavorful yet has zero calories and is full of antioxidants. Establish a good dental routine that includes daily brushing and flossing. Dental health is actually related to overall health. If you floss every day, you'll increase your chances of living longer--possibly by years. For best dental health, use a soft bristled brush, floss gently, and rinse after each session. Get fresh fruit and vegetables into your diet every day. If you can find organic, locally grown produce, all the better. You'll find fresh produce gives your body exactly what it needs--fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, nutrients, trace minerals, and water. Once you've mastered these healthy habits, try to get rid of one bad habit every year. Choose just one, and focus on it until you’ve mastered it that year. If you take this approach, you can overcome habits like smoking, drinking to excess, and eating poorly. Everyone knows what their vices are. Take it upon yourself to conquer those habits, replacing them with habits that are best for you.
