Examining Caffeine Pills
If you are the kind of person who drinks coffee on a regular basis, you may have found yourself wondering what you will do during those random times when coffee is unavailable. If this description fits you, you may have considered taking caffeine pills to replace your coffee, but you may have wondered whether these actually work. And furthermore, you may have wondered whether it is actually even safe for your body if you take caffeine pills! The first thing you need to realize when it comes to caffeine pills is that different pills have different concentrations of caffeine; this means that it is important for you to know how much caffeine you usually consume. A regular shot of espresso has about 50 milligrams of caffeine; as for a regular cup of coffee, it usually has about 135 milligrams of caffeine. On the other hand, caffeine pills typically come in concentrations of 200 milligrams - although, of course, you can find caffeine pills that have lower caffeine concentrations. This means that if you are the kind of person who drinks a latte from Starbucks every day, you are getting about two shots of espresso - roughly 100 milligrams of caffeine. Stay away from the stronger caffeine pills if this is the case for you, as the stronger pills will be more caffeine than you are used to and will likely make you jittery. If, on the other hand, your coffee drinking each day includes several cups, you will be quite all right to take these caffeine pills that have a higher concentration. As for whether caffeine pills work, the answer is simple - they are nothing but concentrations of caffeine, so they certainly work; but also, remember that if you usually add sugar to your coffee, you will be missing out on the sugar rush you are used to. Also, you need to keep in mind the fact that caffeine can cause you to be dehydrated, which is especially important to keep in mind if you plan to take a caffeine pill before physical exertion. You need to make sure you drink lots of water along with your caffeine pill, and you need to especially make sure you drink water if you take a caffeine pill before working out or playing sports.
Although the best way to gain energy is always through the most natural way possible, caffeine pills can certainly be the right choice if you are out of options and need a burst of caffeine!
