Skin Care Advice for Teens
Mind is All
Have teens with acne in your household? Looking for skin care advice for that troubled skin? Use these skin care tips as guidelines for clear, clean complexions. Stay on top of your skin. Be sure to wash your face every morning and every night, but not more than that. More than washing twice a day will dry skin too much, making it vulnerable to flaking and cracking. Always use a mild cleanser, not soap. Follow with exfoliating scrub. Try this homemade scrub; put three uncoated aspirin in a bowl and add just enough water to soften it. Let it dissolve some and then use a spoon to crush it up. Mix in two tablespoons of organic honey. Mix and use as a scrub on T-zone, which is the nose, forehead, and chin. Rinse with warm water. Use moisturizer every morning and evening. Buy a moisturizer that has the ingredient salicylic acid in it; it'll fight breakouts. Don't be afraid of moisturizer; just buy an oil-free version. The bigger problem is when you don’t moisturize, because then your skin is thirsty and overproduces oil to compensate for the dryness. Don't use cream or liquid foundation on active breakouts. Use a light dusting of a mineral make up instead; it’ll soak up oil without clogging pore if you use it sparingly. When dealing with serious blackhead problems, visit an esthetician and pay for a professional extraction. Try not to bother blackheads at home, but if you must, wash your hands and face well and be very gentle. Try not to irreparably damage skin. It's worth it to prevent scarring or further infection; hire a professional, even if it's costly. Invest time in your skin care routine every day to keep it under control. Remember to care for your skin every day without fail.
