Olive oil is an extremely health oil to include into your dietary routine. By eating olive oil regularly in your diet you can gain some health benefits that are worth. There is a direct link between eating olive oil regularly and dropping the levels of bad cholesterol in your system. This is ultimately important for all people who would like to live a long life.

You have to press olives to make olive oil. Not only are the highest quality olive oils extra virgin and virgin, but they also are the least processed and most nutritious. These oils typically have a light fruity taste.  This makes them ideal for eating raw such as on salads or to dip bread into. Make it a goal to try to use healthy olive oils over butter, coconut oil, or margarine.

This monounsaturated fat is a good source of vitamin A, D, K, and E. With all of these good vitamins in it along with other great healthy compounds it is no wonder olive oils can reduce the risk of cancer, and heart disease. Because high cholesterol and high blood pressure are directly related, it is no wonder that since olive oil drops bad cholesterol that it also drops blood pressure.

Diabetics are beginning to be told by doctors that they should incorporate olive oil into their diets. In general a diabetics diet tends to be high fiber, low fast carb and low fat in order to manage blood sugar levels. Research is showing that by adding in olive oil to diabetic diets they are having more success and also some are even loosing weight.

Research is finding that olive oil is anti-inflammitory also. Research is indicating also that this anti-inflammitory effect of olive oil may assist those who suffer from asthma and arthritis. The body uses the monounsaturated fats in olive oil to create anti-inflammatory substances.
