Building Up Core Muscles
Mind is AllOne of the best ways to deal with back pain is to get your core muscles back in shape. Your core muscles are what basically hold your entire body in the correct posture. Without the strength needed, you won't be able to stand correctly and will have foot, knee, lower back, and shoulder pain. No one wants to have these problems plaguing him or her daily. Here are some tips to help strengthen your core muscles with a little work. To start with, an exercise ball is your best friend. With some basic workout routines, you can really start to build your muscles. Simply sitting on the ball and lifting a small amount of weight over your head with a dumb bell is a great way to tone your core. Sitting on the ball causes you to constantly stabilize yourself. You can also do situps while sitting ont he ball. Simply lean back as far as possible and then proceed to slowly sit up. You can really work your core quite a bit doing this. As you gain strength, you can use the ball to do pushups with by placing your feet on the ball and pushing up. This is a challenge but your core will get an amazing workout. If this is too intense you should consider tai chi, pilates, or yoga. These are all low impact but still great for your core. These focus on balance and correct posture. The more you do them the stronger your core becomes over time, along with increased suppleness in your back and joints. There are a number of wonderful dvds on this topic. Some great vidoes are Tai Chi for Health, the Yoga for Beginners, andPilates for Beginners. These make great introductions to each exercise. Alought chiropractics can help relieve the pain, you can avoid this by dealing with your core muscles. Make sure to be aware of your physical limitations, and strengthen your core to the best of your ability.
